Doumbek sample library

I bought my Doumbek hand drum in Turkey a few years back and instantly fell in love with the unique and versatile sound of this drum. After playing the Doumbek for several years, and using it in many game scores, I can finally share this wonderful gem with you in this Doumbek Kontakt Instrument!

The Doumbek is sampled with 5 round-robin variations and deep-sampled velocity layers for the Doum, Tek and Ka articulations. You also get extra articulations like slaps, flams, sweeps and rolls to enhance your performance.

Flam Speed control knob

With the Kontakt version you also get a FLAM SPEED knob to control the speed of the flams and sweeps which is very handy when programming realistic performances. FLAM SPEED is linked to Mod Wheel (MW) by default for quick access to this handy control.

Furthermore, you also get access to a 2Pole Low Pass filter cutoff control from the custom Kontakt interface. This is helpful if you want to dial the instrument back in the mix. The pitch control is set to +-12 semitones which is useful when you want to tune the drum to your music piece. Or just make the Doumbek sound like a rototom!

Doumbek hand drum fits perfectly into world music, film scores and game soundtracks!
