My music videos for Jamuary 2020

Here are the music videos I created for #Jamuary2020.

Jamuary #2

Recall – Jamuary 2020 session 2.

Recall – Digitakt + Acoustic Piano performance

My second #Jamuary2020 performance jam on the Digitakt + Acoustic Piano. I was going for a cinematic cue with a slightly chill vibe.

Recorded some piano as a second layer to give the track even more nostalgic feel. Tracks 1,2 & 3 are lightly programmed arpeggios filtered custom waveforms at various pitches. The trigs “notes” have parameter locks to play at different 4/4, 3/3 etc. which gives it subtle variation. Track 4 is a deep thump bass, giving the track a bit of a pulse and the low end. Track 5-8 are “light” fillers, also with parameter locks to come in and out of the arrangement…

Furthermore, I’m giving the track some extra variation by pitching down the whole pattern and then jumping to a second pattern which has the original pitch. Then a third pattern takes us back to the intro with 3 active tracks playing the intertwining arpeggios at various pitch areas.

Hope this clip is helpful to someone learning the Digitakt.

Jamuary #1

Silkworm – Jamuary 2020 session 1.

Silkworm – Digitakt + 0-coast performance

So this is my first music jam performance in this Jamuary 2020. I know I won’t be able to upload every day. But let’s give it a starting shot (song) at least. 😉 This is an ambient composition made by sampling some 0-coast modular synth patches into the Digitakt.

I also sequence the 0-coast for a small additional melody from track 9 on the Digitakt. I had fun and hope you like the song.
