And so it's there again. I thought the bluescreen was something of the past, but yesterday my stationary Intel Core 2 Duo started acting weird and showing the text "Hardware malfunction" a little now and then. I removed all compontents one by one, and thought it was a memory-issue.
Today I bought some new RAM sticks (2x2GB 800mhz) and also 2 new Samsung Spinpoint 500 GB SATA2 drivers which will be connected in RAID-0 for some serious speed performance.
After installing the new RAM and booting up Win XP 64 bit, it still shows me "Hardware malfunction" a little now and then. So I guess it's either the Mother Board or the graphics card that is the root of the problem.
Hrmf...it's a shame that although alot of new and fast equipment comes out on the market, but in the end we are still very vulnerable.
Oh, if you're into music production check this site out www.dawbench.com for some serious DAW benchmarks with Quad processors. They're also testing Reaper.
