Winter is back in Sweden

And so we finally had a few days of snow here in Skellefteå, I just wish it will not melt away until christmas. But we'll see about that.
Yesterday I took Elliot for a ride in his "pulka", which we borrowed from my sister. He was excited about the snow and I think he had a great time.

I finally fixed the height adjustment for the tremolo on my Ibanez RG 570. After receiving the pivot studs which needed to be replaced I removed the tremolo from the guitar.
First I noticed that there is a big crack running from the tremolo stud continously into the guitar, probably the cause of overusing the tremolo arm with big boomer bends...hehe...

The first pivot stud was easy to remove, but the other one just wouldn't budge. I tried everything from drilling machine, hammer + knife method etc. It must have been a rust issue or something. Finally I came up with the (smart!?) idea to use some locktite and glue a torque into the screwhole. I gave it a go, and waited a few minutes for it to dry, then the pivot stud came loose with ease...phew!

Lindas art exhibition

So it's a brand new week and I'm currently working on some sound effects for a iPhone game. I've spent the weekend trying out Fable 2 and it's a really good game. They mixed alot of Oblivion features into the game which is to my liking.

My girlfriend Linda is going to have her premiere exhibition of her paintings in december. She has sold paintings to collectors in Australia, Norway and Sweden so we're excited to make her first exhibition here in Skellefteå.
The dates are 11-17 of december, check more information at her webpage www.morningdewmedia.com/linda

Autumn pics

Me, Linda and Elliot did a little trip to the nearby woods here in Anderstorp (Skellefteå) a few days ago in the wonderful sunny autumn weather and took some cool pics.
Oh, I also threw in a pic when Ellios was really... really... small. =)

GC 2008

And so I'm finally back home from the GC (Game Convention) 2008 in Leipzig - Germany. The trip went well and it was around +27°C when we arrived in Leipzig for the convention.
Wednesday morning it was time to retrieve the registration-pass for the entrance at GC, and this day GC was only open for the business people. From thursday the gates were also open to the public, and then everything went creazy with alot of people wanting to try out the latest and upcoming games.

I tried out some of the games like: Bionic Commando, Little Big Planet, Guitar Hero for DS etc. And also watched the trailer for WoW - Age of reckoning like 10 times. Amazing quality on that one.

Too bad I caught a cold during the trip, so now when I'm back home me and my son Elliot have had some fever and harsh cough. It's good we have Linda taking care of us with fresh coffé and chocolate bars.

On thursday I also visited a statue of Johann Sebastian Bach in the centre of Leipzig. One word, Mighty!

Please have a look at some pictures from the convention below.

Midsummer is on the way

At last we're getting some sun and warmth back here in Skellefteå/Umeå. Today I've been adding some new features to our Reseller Portal (CMS) for Lockbee. It's a killer application. =)
Me, Linda and Elliot made the trip from Skellefteå to Umeå yesterday because she was going to a convention in Skeppsvik (with the Dentist Association).

Our son Elliot is making alot of progress. He likes to relax in his "babygym" and talk with a big red flower....how pschycadelic is that!!?¿

Tomorrow it's midsummer and we will make a "fallos" like we do every year, out of some birch (Umeå is actually called the home of the birch "björk").
Don't forget to check back and watch the photos from the event...haha.

Well aside from that nothing extraordinary is happening.
I ordered some new music software applications the other day.

The first program is the East West - Symphonic Orchestra library called PLAY. Which will allow me to run the audio applications under 64bit OS, and thereby make usage of my additional system RAM. *drewl*
I've got 4 GB installed in the computer I use for making music, but XP 32 bit only grants access to 3 GB of them....which sucks.

I also took the opportunity to order "Stormdrum 2" at the same time since the US dollar is so low (1$ = 6 kr).

I also bought a new guitar last week, it's a Ibanez (like always) SAS36FM. I've been looking for a red one for quite some time now and I'm very pleased with the guitar.

Grillis på fäbodarna

Some pictures from todays barbeque.
By some cosmic reason it turns out we are going to have a tropical summer this year. =)
My brother Nicklas came over for some drinks and filé.
Little man Elliot also had a good time sleeping (for most of the time) in his Emmaljunga CityCross Super duper version 2.88.

Soon to be father

The releasedate of mini-Messiah is 2008-04-10.
Can't wait to see what he/she looks like. =)
One things is for sure, it will have the same crooked nose that I and Linda are wearing *laughs*, blue eyes and long dark hair...with time.

A shot linda took when we were down in Kristinehamn during christmas. I also took the opportunity to photo the small belly. Yup, it's a child somewhere in there. =)

Firmafest @ AVTRE

A few pictures from the first official party celebratin AVTRE AB.
Henrik was the partymaestro and always made sure we had a drink close at hand. It was a real blast, and I think everyone died of headache the day after. =)
