A few months back I produced music themes and the sound design for this excellent iPad tower sim game based around a Las Vegas hotel, the title is of course VEGAS TOWERS. The game is now released and available through the appStore, check it out!

Mattias Holmgren / Morningdew Media teams up with SPARKRIFT on their upcoming XBOX 360 title - ROBOFISH. Robofish is a Shoot 'em up (SHMUP) for XBOX Live Indie Games. The game features tons of different weapons, game-play modes, awards and much more. Check out the official Robofish website. Mattias is composing music and producing all sound effects featured in the game. The musical style is a mixture of dub, trance, modern club and other outwordly aquatic soundscapes to keep you rocking throughout the game. Alot of creative sound design in the music production as well as in the sound effects themselves. A beta release will soon be announced, videoclips are available at the game website.

It's time to reveal another title that I will be scoring (music and sound design), the game is Steam Punk Hockey, and is developed by Kenn Mayfield. I have produced three music themes for the game and done some really interesting sound design. A blog post regarding the creative process will be posted later this week.

I'm composing music and sound design for yet another title called Unicorn Rush, developed by the excellent developer Ken Carpenter and Mind Juice Media. There's at least four themes in the air at the moment, and the first official music piece is called Flight of the Unicorn, and can be heard at the Unicorn Rush webpage, also at my soundcloud account.

Lawnmower Kids, a non-violent, 1950s themed casual game is now available in the appStore for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. I wrote a jazzy menu theme and created sound design for the game. Check it out!

It's been busy days in the studio lately. I recently did sound design and a few music cues for the Fisherman's friend Facebook adventure. I have also been working on music and sound design for two iPhone games and a DS title which will be announced in a not so distant future. Aside from that I've written a few more music themes and also worked a little on our inhouse game Luminati. Currently I'm preparing for the upcoming gig at Stadsfesten Skellefteå where I will perform with my brother Nicklas and bassist Peter Uvén as EMBRACING. Be sure to check it out! I just got the announcements from the come2play.com flash competition which we entered into with our puzzle game LUMINATI. Our game is one of the three winners, we got (3rd) bronze placement and won $1000, which is cool! Celebrate with us and try out a Luminati match over at come2play.com. The comments from the jury-panel reads: Connect 4 on crack, this game combines the classic strategy of Connect 4 with powerups to alter the game play. Morningdew Media put together amazing SFX and great design to deliver this classic game to another level.

Greetings citizen, I just updated the credits page with the recent projects I've been involved in. Today I picked up the development of the iPhone version of Luminati again. It's gonna be a blast! It works great on the platform with the touch display and all. Bought the PIANOTEQ 3 and loved it! Truly the best virtual piano on the market (to my ears). The new K1 piano which is included sounds amazing for solo piano pieces. I'll be writing a few short pieces in the coming days.

A new orchestral theme, Until death do us part, is finished and can be heard in my mp3 player (epic orchestral category). Tracked some bass and guitar for a new rock song yesterday. We are proud to announce the first official game-release which is solely produced by Morningdew Media. It's a flash game called Luminati. The game is basically a connect-4 with single player and two player action. Luminati features crips music, powerful sound effects and sleek graphic design made by Mattias Holmgren. Gameplay design, AI and gameplay coded by Nicklas Holmgren, Mattias Holmgren and Hans Rönnbäck. The game might later be ported to iPhone, DS or maybe XBOX live. Added ajax features to the Morningdew Media webpage, so you can browse the pages without stopping the mp3 player. Mattias featured with short article at FilmArc. At the moment I'm working on a audio branding project, doing some really heavy sounds. I manage to make use of my down-tuned SX bass for a short but ultraheavy riff. Also tweaking sounds for an upcoming iPhone game, stay tuned for more info on that one. =) Today the battery on my trustworthy Yamaha EX5 got upset and started screaming "please change internal battery", which I also did. I also ordered a "breath controller", and a set of "Puresound Custom Series E1416" wires for my Pearl master custom snare. There are no shortcuts to the perfect sound... Read one of the many great reviews of the iPhone game CHARMED which features my sound design production. Some new themes in the mp3 player! Clash of the titans (epic orchetral), epic Wagner inspired music suitable for fantasy RPG games. Casual as usual (ambient section), a cool rythmic track with a soft guitar solo at the end, suitable as background music for trailers. Flowers in her hair (puzzle, ethnic section), a smooth rhythmic theme (Hang drum) suitable for game menus or similiar. "When the spirits are present" (Puzzle section) is a ethnic flavoured spiritual journey with small percussive stuff. I also produced a new orchestral theme called "From grey to black" (Action & Horror section) which is more like a dark crescendo. Hope you like 'em!
